This week, I sit down with Dan Grguras who is the creator of Baxter & The Bear. I first spotted his work at the I Made It Market last year. Dan creates alternate film and tv posters using a style he’s developed over the last several years. He searches all over to find significant items from movies and tv and manipulates them into a single image that encapsulates the entire film or show (as you see above). The first piece I saw was a ‘Home Alone’ piece that incorporated paint cans, micro machines, and ornaments. The detail Dan takes into making his work as close to authentic as possible does not go unnoticed. We talk about where his love of film came from, and how it’s progressed into this unique style he is perfecting. I loved talking with Dan and I really love all of his work. Each poster is so thought out and detailed in such a way you can’t help but to love. Enjoy the episode and check out his page!
