This week, I sit down with Kate Colussy to talk about her shop in the Southside of the city called Highway Robbery Vintage. Kate opened her store in 2011 and has been killing it ever since. Highway Robbery is a vintage shop that specializes in affordable and unique vintage items for men and women. When I worked in the Southside, I would pop into her shop and check out all the cool stuff she had. I always liked the vibe. We talk about how Kate got into vintage items, opening her own shop, flea markets, quitting cigarettes and caffeine, working retail in the airport before 9/11 and how much it changed after it happened, and so much more. This was a really cool episode. She has been in vintage game for almost a decade. I feel like that means she was into this before vintage started to boom in the last five years so I thought hearing about her journey through it all would be really interesting. Enjoy the episode!
