This week, I sit down with the Northside Shepard Gavin Deming to talk about goats, mini donkeys, and so much more! Gavin is the founder of the Allegheny GoatScape. Goatscaping, in so many words, is a way of utilizing the natural grazing lifestyles of goats to help combat the invasive plant and weed population in certain areas. Gavin is a Northside resident who started working in goatscaping around 2015. At first, he was just a volunteer looking to hangout with goats and help make our environment a little better but shortly after, he started his own operation. This week, we talk about, why people use goats, the benefits of Goatscaping, and the day to day of being a modern day Shepard. This episode was awesome. I’ve been seeing the goats when I ride my bike for while now. Ever since, I’ve always wanted to learn more about it and this week, we do just that. Thanks for listening!
